Virtual Crop Challenge 15: Punch/Maker
Do you have a drawer full of Shape Makers? Do you ever wonder how you can use those Makers other than what they are intended for?
Shape Makers are can be quite versatile and offer many options, especially when you think outside of the "norm"!
In this layout, Jill used the Circle Maker as a primary element on the layout.
She punched the small circle first, and then the larger one around the smaller one, to create the "rings".
For this challenge, we would love to see how you can use one of the Shape Makers in a unique way on your layouts!
Feel free to use any of the Makers - Square Maker, Circle Maker, Ribbon Maker, Corner Maker,Scallop Circle Maker, or any others you might have on hand.
We can't wait to see what you come up with. Post a pic of your completed project here!
Happy Scrapping!

Worth a look
ok so I know it not very CRAFTY but I just heard about this charity and i'm actually really impressed instead of using dontations to fund add and do huge campains they use volenteers and a huge network to get the word out there they helped 8 MILLION children last year with the money they save simply by not advertising! thats crazy! check it out donate $2.00 donate $20.00 I just think it a good cause. I am quite terrible with the whole if I cant see it it doesnt affect me... But people from all over the world helped us out with the CHCH earthquakes and really whats $5.00 so heres the website just have a look. Its the first charity i've seen that actually focuses on educating people so that they will one day hopefully have the knowledge and skill to do it all themselves. So take 5 mins and have a look it cant hurt?

Frame Chain Flower (CM BLOG)
Tutorial: Rosy Frame Chain Paper Flower
It is a wonderful thing when it comes to making my own paper embellishments. I love to punch out shapes in a variety of sizes and layer them together for a 3D look or even creating a scene to go along with the theme of my layout.
For this layout, I wanted to add simple, yet bold details. By doing this, I created a tone-on-tone background with added texture and added handmade paper flowers to accent my page, while still telling my story.
Today, I am excited to share with you a simple tutorial on how to make these Rosy Frame Chain Paper Flowers, using your Border Maker, Frame Chain Border Cartridge & Circle Maker.
Punch out three 1 1/4" circles using your Circle Maker & add a small dab of adhesive to the center of two 1 1/4" punched circle, using your Precision Point Adhesive.

Layer each circle together & set aside to dry. (approx. 5 minutes)
Once completely dry, carefully scrunch up each stack of circles, layer by layer. It will look like a little ball of crumbled paper with a flat bottom. If circles are glued close to the outer edges, use fingers to un-glue so they will be easy to scrunch.

Carefully open the scrunched layers so the flower looks full. Set aside.
Punch out two border strips using the Border Maker & Frame Chain Border Cartridge. (Note: For each flower there are two Frame Chain Border strips)
Use All-Purpose Scissors to cut four strips of seven chains - each strip should have seven full chains.
Add adhesive using the Tape Runner to the center of each chain strip.
Fold one end to center of chain strip. Add adhesive to the layered center & fold the opposite end of the chain strip.
Layer three of the folded chain strips together diagonally.
Once all three chain strips have been layered together, add a large Foam Square & affix scrunch flower in the middle.
There you have a simple rosy Frame Chain Paper Flower.
For a larger flower, punch out three Frame Chain Border strips & cut strips into eleven chains per strip. Then use Circle Maker to punch out five 1 1/2" circles to layer together. Not only will the flower be larger, it will also be fuller.
This flower would make the perfect embellishment for any craft project, card or adorning a gift box.
Cheers, Cindy :)

Well one of my fav things to do when I get stuck is go see Becky! for those of you who don't know Becky Fleck welcome to her world of inspirational Page Maps. Never have I been so inspired by one website all done by one incredible woman! I have folders full of her maps and she taught me alot without her even knowing it. So I thought I'd do a little demo of her Page Maps and how I use them... I can't beleive it but I did these in 10 mins using Story Book Creator I LOVE THIS PROGRAM it's so easy haha but they are just for ideas and was faster than doing conventional layouts that I might not use for ages... so enjoy

Corner Rounder Flower (CM BLOG)

Create paper flowers using only the Corner Maker & CCS Circle Patterns!
Creating paper flowers sounds intimidating....but trust me, it's not! Scrappers of any level can make paper flowers for cards, layouts and even altered projects. The two secret tools are theCCS Circle Patterns and a Corner Maker. Yep, that's it!
Want to know how? It's this easy.
Use the inside of each circle pattern by using each blade to get three different size circles from each pattern, except only one from the smallest pattern. Use various papers for each circle as desired.
Fold each circle in half. Using the Corner Maker, punch each side where the fold meets. Open and fold again the opposite direction. Punch again.

Repeat this step several times until you have a flower. Do this to each circle.
Using the Brown Dual-Tip Pen and a tissue, distress the edges of each petal. Take all of the petals and crush in your hand. Flatten out slightly.
Layer them together adhering in the center, curling various petals upward.
Using a Foam Square, adhere the orange epoxy to the flower and then adhere to your layout.
Easy, isn't it? Who would've thought you could make something so beautiful with circles and Corner Makers? Another tip: The more circles you cut, the fuller your flower will be!

Give it a shot and let me know how yours turn out!

How to make a flower (from CM blog)

Add Dimension With Folded Circle Flowers
Hello everyone! Ginger here with some instructions of making some easy circle flowers that can really add a lot to a card or other project. With Valentine's Day coming up I thought it might be fun to make one of these flowers with the Cheerful Valentine's Day Addition and add it to a cute V-Day card.
To start making the flowers you will need your Circle Maker (or you could use your Custom Cutting System) to make two circles.
Take each circle and fold it into eights.
Cut inward on each of the fold lines towards, but not quite all the way, to the center.
Take each petal and fold it downwards in half.
Using a Foam Square layer the flowers so the the colors of the petals alternate.
Punch a scalloped circle with the Scalloped Circle Maker and cut inward almost to the center of each scallop to make petals.
Layer the flowers together with Foam Squares and add a cardstock sticker from the Cheerful Valentine's Addition to the center of the flower.
Add the flower to a card with Foam Squares and you have a perfect accent!
Want to make the whole card? Here's how you do it!
Supplies:
Steps:
Cut a piece of White Cardstock to be 11" x 5 1/2" and fold in half to form the card base.
Cut a piece of pink paper to be 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and add to the font of the card. Cut a piece of red paper to be 5" x 5" and add to the center of the card. Cut a piece of "love" patterned paper to be 5" x 3" and add to the bottom of the red paper. Cut a piece of Platinum Shimmer Cardstock to be 5 1/2" x 3/4" and add it across the card front.
Cut a piece of White Cardstock with the Postage Stamp Blade to be 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and add to the card front with Foam Squares. Cut a piece of grey paper to be 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" and add it to the White Cardstock. Add flower with Foam Squares to the center of the grey paper.
Add Title Sticker and Icon Sticker to White Cardstock and trim to fit. Mat on red paper and trim to fit again. Add to card bottom with Foam Squares.
Enjoy!
